Refund & Cancellation Policy
Effective 2026-09-27 · Version 4
Effective Date: September 27, 2026
Last Updated: September 27, 2026
This Refund & Cancellation Policy applies to purchases, registrations, appointments, classes, training, coaching, online programs, employer services, and other services provided by FamilySafe Florida, LLC, doing business as FamilySafe (“FamilySafe,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).
1. CASE-BY-CASE REVIEW
All refund requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis. No purchase, cancellation, missed session, unused enrollment, examination result, employment result, withdrawal, dropout, complaint, or other circumstance automatically creates a right to a refund unless applicable law requires one or FamilySafe expressly agreed otherwise in writing.
A customer may submit FamilySafe’s Refund Request Form at /refund-request. A FamilySafe instructor, manager, or administrator may also initiate a refund review when a customer asks for a refund, raises a service concern that reasonably warrants review, or is classified as having withdrawn or dropped from a class or course.
FamilySafe may consider the timing of the request, services already delivered, digital content accessed, instructor or facility time reserved, materials purchased, nonrecoverable expenses, course completion, certificates issued, scheduling history, the reason for the request, communications with the customer, and any transaction-specific terms.
Submitting or initiating a request does not guarantee approval, a particular refund amount, account credit, rescheduling, or other remedy.
Nothing in this Policy limits a right or remedy that applicable law does not permit FamilySafe to waive.
2. STAFF-INITIATED CUSTOMER SERVICE REVIEW
FamilySafe authorizes designated staff members to assist customers with refund concerns. Depending on the staff member’s assigned authority and the circumstances of the transaction, an authorized staff member may initiate a request, document a complaint, or issue a permitted partial refund before management review is complete.
Any amount actually returned to a customer by an authorized FamilySafe staff member will not be reduced or reversed solely through FamilySafe’s later internal review. Management may leave the amount in place or approve an additional refund, credit, or other remedy when appropriate.
Internal staff authority limits are operational controls and do not create a customer entitlement to a particular refund percentage or amount.
3. WITHDRAWAL AND DROPOUT REVIEW
When FamilySafe classifies a learner as having withdrawn or dropped from a course or class, FamilySafe will automatically open a refund review so the circumstances of the withdrawal can be evaluated even if the learner did not separately submit a Refund Request Form.
A dropout classification may temporarily suspend the learner’s FamilySafe account while management reviews the enrollment, payment history, course activity, customer communications, and any refund or account action that may be appropriate. This temporary administrative suspension is intended to preserve records and prevent conflicting activity while the review is pending. It is not, by itself, a determination that the learner is or is not entitled to a refund.
After the review is completed, FamilySafe will document the disposition of the enrollment and restore account access when appropriate. A dropped enrollment may remain closed even when the learner’s general FamilySafe account is restored.
4. ONLINE AND SELF-PACED PROGRAMS
Online and self-paced programs may provide immediate access to proprietary curriculum, instructional materials, videos, assessments, question banks, downloadable resources, student support, certificates, or other digital services.
Digital purchases are not automatically refundable after access is activated. FamilySafe will nevertheless review a properly submitted or staff-initiated refund request case by case. Requests made promptly and before substantial use may be considered differently from requests made after substantial course access, assessment activity, completion, or certificate issuance.
Failure to use a course, complete a course, pass an examination, obtain certification or licensure, obtain employment, or achieve a desired result does not by itself establish refund eligibility.
Standard paid self-paced course access is 90 days unless the offering states otherwise. FamilySafe may grant up to 60 additional days of access without requiring a new access fee. After those extensions are exhausted, reopening expired course access is generally available for $25 for an additional 30-day access period, subject to course availability and FamilySafe approval.
5. LIVE CLASSES, COACHING, SKILLS PRACTICE, AND RESERVED SESSIONS
Live, virtual, in-person, coaching, skills-practice, and other reserved sessions require at least 24 hours’ notice for cancellation or rescheduling unless the applicable offering or written agreement states otherwise.
A cancellation or change requested less than 24 hours before the scheduled start time, a no-show, or arrival too late to reasonably complete the service may result in forfeiture of the reserved session. Any refund, credit, or exception remains subject to case-by-case review.
FamilySafe may make reasonable exceptions for emergencies or other circumstances it considers appropriate. An exception in one matter does not change the Policy for another transaction.
6. FAMILYSAFE-CANCELLED SERVICES
If FamilySafe cancels a purchased service and cannot provide a reasonable substitute or rescheduled service, FamilySafe will determine an appropriate refund, credit, or other remedy for the undelivered portion.
Unless expressly agreed otherwise, FamilySafe is not responsible for a participant’s separate travel, lodging, meals, childcare, transportation, lost wages, or other incidental expenses.
7. BUSINESS, EMPLOYER, AND GROUP ENGAGEMENTS
Business and employer engagements may involve dedicated training dates, customized preparation, participant rosters, equipment, materials, travel, facilities, and third-party expenses.
Unless a written quote or agreement states otherwise, FamilySafe generally requires a 25% deposit to reserve a business engagement, and written quotes are generally valid for 14 days.
All refund requests remain subject to case-by-case review. FamilySafe may consider work already performed and documented nonrecoverable expenses, including custom preparation, materials, airfare, lodging, transportation, shipping, facility costs, and other costs incurred specifically for the engagement.
Transaction-specific terms contained in an accepted quote, proposal, statement of work, or separate written agreement control when they address the same issue more specifically.
8. TRAVEL AND OFF-SITE DELIVERY
FamilySafe’s standard local service area includes locations within 20 driving miles of its Gainesville, Florida business base. Travel outside that area is quoted based on the requirements of the engagement.
Travel charges may include mileage, tolls, parking, airfare, baggage or equipment transportation fees, lodging, reasonable meals or per diem, ground transportation, shipping, instructor travel time, additional staffing, and other reasonable expenses necessary to deliver the engagement.
Travel expenses incurred specifically for an engagement may be considered nonrecoverable once FamilySafe incurs or becomes obligated for those costs. Additional travel terms are described in FamilySafe’s Travel & Off-Site Training Policy and may also appear in the applicable quote or agreement.
9. WEATHER, HURRICANES, EMERGENCIES, AND EVENTS OUTSIDE FAMILYSAFE’S CONTROL
Hurricanes, tropical storms, evacuation orders, severe weather, power or internet outages, facility closures, instructor illness, government action, transportation disruption, third-party platform outages, or other circumstances outside FamilySafe’s reasonable control may require a service to be delayed, relocated, converted to another delivery format, or rescheduled.
FamilySafe will ordinarily attempt to provide a reasonable replacement or rescheduled service first. Any refund, credit, or other remedy will then be determined case by case under this Policy, the applicable offering terms, and any written agreement.
10. REFUND METHOD AND PROCESSING
If FamilySafe approves or authorizes a refund, it will ordinarily be returned through the original payment method when reasonably possible. FamilySafe may approve a full refund, partial refund, account credit, rescheduling, or another reasonable resolution depending on the circumstances.
Banks, card issuers, PayPal, and other payment processors control how long funds take to appear after FamilySafe submits a refund.
11. CREDITS
FamilySafe may offer an account credit when appropriate and accepted by the customer. Unless FamilySafe states otherwise in writing, a credit has no cash value, may be used only toward eligible FamilySafe services, may not be sold or transferred, and is governed by the conditions stated when issued.
12. PAYMENT DISPUTES AND CHARGEBACKS
Customers are encouraged to use the Refund Request Form or contact FamilySafe before initiating a payment dispute so FamilySafe has an opportunity to review the matter.
Nothing in this Policy limits a lawful right to dispute an unauthorized, fraudulent, or otherwise legally disputable transaction.
FamilySafe may provide transaction records, policy acceptance records, enrollment records, account activity, attendance, scheduling records, communications, refund-review records, and other relevant documentation when responding to a payment dispute or chargeback.
13. HOW TO REQUEST REVIEW
Submit the Refund Request Form at /refund-request and provide enough information for FamilySafe to identify the transaction and evaluate the request. FamilySafe may request additional information before making a decision.
A learner may also raise a refund concern directly with an instructor or other authorized FamilySafe staff member. Staff may document and initiate the review on the learner’s behalf.
