FamilySafe exists to help students, families, caregivers, and workplaces build the knowledge and confidence to respond when real life does not wait for perfect conditions.

Founder

Hi, I’m Don Angolano.

I founded FamilySafe Florida after more than a decade in pre-hospital emergency care as an Advanced EMT, along with years of teaching, program development, and helping people learn healthcare skills in ways that actually make sense outside a textbook.

I’m also a father. That matters to the way I think about training. FamilySafe is not built around collecting course completions—it is built around helping ordinary people feel more capable when someone they care about needs help.

My own family’s connection to emergency service reaches back another generation through my grandfather, a firefighter. The idea that people can learn to protect and help their community has always been personal to me.

FamilySafe keeps its own curriculum clearly separated from third-party credentials. Where certification matters—such as AHA BLS—FamilySafe will only open enrollment when the required instructor authorization, alignment, and official materials are in place.
